Equestrian is one of the most fascinating sports. The balance, the stability and the right communication between the horse and the rider is a key element for success in Equestrian sport.
Participants will be divisioned by Special Olympics South Dakota based on ability level and age to give them a competitive experience.
Coaches: registrations will be due to your Area Director on June 24th.
Sports certifications must be updated every three years. Please click here to verify which coaching level you are at and take the proper courses to recertify your coaching status.

Special Olympics South Dakota Equestrian Handbook
The Special Olympics Sports Rules shall govern all Special Olympics equestrian sports competitions. As an international sports program, Special Olympics has created these rules based on Federation Equestre Internationale (FEL), American Horse Shows Association (AHSA), and American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) rules for equestrian sports competition.
