Meet Josh!

Meet Josh! 💪

Josh joined Special Olympics South Dakota when he was 8 years old and is turning 36! He is part of the Aberdeen Thunder delegation. He lives with his mom and dad, as well as two dogs Wyatt and Derby. He loves visiting his brother Andy and his wife who live in Iowa with their four kids! He thinks they are pretty cute!

Josh is busy throughout the year participating in bowling, basketball, athletics, and equestrian.

Other than participating in Special Olympics, Josh loves to go to the Y to exercise, play basketball with friends, play on the PlayStation, watch WWE, walk the dogs and other dogs who need homes, and go to rummage sales to find toys for his nieces and nephews.

You can find him working at My Place Hotel in Aberdeen some days for a few hours.

His favorite Special Olympics memory would be going to three nationals (Lincoln, NE, Ames, IA, and New Jersey). He was a great powerlifter and deadlifted 365 lbs. as his best!!!

If you see Josh at an event, he will be having a blast dancing, eating, and hanging out with other athletes. Be sure to say hi when you see him!
