Meet Max!

Meet Max! 🏊

Max is 12 years old and is in 6th grade at the middle school in Canton. He is part of the United Wolf Pack delegation and started when he was 8 years old. He participates in bowling and athletics. He also practices basketball skills and swimming but has not yet competed in those.

Outside of Special Olympics, Max likes to play with his friends; especially tag, swim in the pool in the summer, swing, and spin on his swing outside -rain, snow, wind, or sun! He loves to play a lot and this summer he jumped off the diving board for the first time! He enjoys helping his dad with Torch Run events and helps with Chase the Ace. He wants everyone to get tickets! 😊

His favorite memory from Special Olympics would be when he got to run the Torch Run this summer to bring the Flame of Hope to the Opening Ceremonies with his dad. He also loves watching his friends compete, giving hugs, and lots of high-fives. For the Polar Plunge, he prefers watching his mom and dad take a dip in the freezing water.

He would like everyone to know that Scotty Briggs is his favorite Special Olympics Staff Member, but everyone at the office he says is awesome!

(Thanks so much, Max, we think you’re awesome, too!)
